The author’s corner

Hi, I'm Jasmine, an Australian children’s picture book author from rural Victoria.

I’m so glad you’re here!

I create gentle, reassuring books, helping children feel brave during medical experiences.

Living with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), I’ve spent a great deal of my life in hospitals, having scans, tests, surgeries and appointments.

I know firsthand how overwhelming these experiences can feel for children, a huge reason why I have begun my ‘Magic Medical Series.’

Illustrated children’s books written in a way that explains aspects of the medical world in a friendly, comforting, and age-appropriate way.

My hope is that every child, caregiver, or person who reads my books feels a little less frightened, a little more prepared, and knows that no matter what, they aren’t alone.

Whether it’s an MRI scan or a hospital visit, I believe that stories have the power and ability to replace fear with understanding.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me losing myself in a good book, with a warm mug of coffee in my hand, or learning new, fun facts, losing myself in the little things that make up this world.

I hope my books bring comfort, confidence, and a smile to children, families and others whose eyes gaze upon them.

Thank you for stopping by and grabbing a book!
